Bake and Shark



Shark Ingredients:
  • 1 lb shark cut into serving pieces ( you can use regular fish though boneless is best)
  • 2 tbsp minced chives and thyme
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • lime juice
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper sauce
  • flour seasoned with salt and pepper
  • oil for frying

    Method for preparing shark:
    Wash shark with lime juice to reduce odour. Season well with chive, thyme, garlic, salt and pepper sauce. Coat shark/fish in seasoned flour and shake off excess. Fry a few pieces at a time in hot oil shaking pan to prevent sticking. Cook until done. Drain thoroughly on kitchen paper to absorb any grease. Serve hot with bake.



    Bake Ingredients:
  • 1 lb of flour ( about 4 cups)
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • water
  • Oil for frying

    Method for preparing bake:
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder Add enough tap water to make a soft dough Knead for about 10 minutes. Leave to rest for 1/2 hour or more Pull off small pieces and roll each piece to a circle about 5 to 6 inches round and 1/4 inch thick Fry in hot oil until they puff up and float, do not overcook, they should be lightly browned and when pulled apart the dough inside should be cooked. Drain on kitchen paper.
