Adults $50, children $20, and under ten years free, Tickets are available from members of the committee, headed by Val Rogers 663-1753, Louis Mc Williams 755-7065, Clive Graham, 371-1070, Candace Paul 770-1441, Linda Mentor 762-9526, Trotman 681-5938, the Queen's Hall Box Office 8am to 4 pm, and the UWI Department of Creative and Festival Arts 9 am-5 pm.

This year's recreation will feature the theatrical confrontation of separate pairs of characters in the oral tradition, such as, pierrot grenades, robbers and black Indians. The choreographic tradition will show the different types of sailor dance steps and the imp and dragon dances. A rich variety of other traditional characters will be in the Old Yard throughout the day. The programme includes a vintage kaiso segment with extempo picong and a genuine kalinda (stick fight) with the accompanying drumming and chanting in a gayelle formed by the patrons themselves.

Patrons are invited to bring their old time kaiso or Carnival music for a vintage sing-along and storytelling before the show starts. What is sure to be a memorable and enjoyable day will end with a good old-fashioned jump up to a popular pan-round-the-neck steelband. A wide variety of local food, including wild meat, and drink, will be available from booths lining the venue.
